Alternative Careers for BTS Members
Coronavirus induced lockdown has forced many of us to reinvent our careers. That got me wondering. Once BTS (the South Korean sensation) disbands what career paths would our favourite members take. Will their paths cross again in future ?
RM (Namjoon) : Business Startup
Smartest of them all, RM (Namjoon) will definitely put his hard earned money and his brain to good use, post retirement. He has the intellect and networking skills to start his own venture. Fluency in English, along with his ability to work with people of varying strengths and weaknesses have made Namjoon the leader of BTS. All these things will come in handy when he decides to start his own business. In fact he could even start his own music company to rival Big Hit entertainment. Who knows?
Jin : Actor
The man who became an idol by mistake, will definitely go back to his original passion : acting. Self proclaimed as ‘Worldwide Handsome’, Jin has natural good looks and a fan base that could make any K-drama that he stars in, an immediate suceess. In fact there are several army members who have recreated the posters of King : the eternal monarch with Jin. It proves that there is enough demand for Jin as an actor. Let us hope that he continues to entertain his fans post his BTS days too.
SUGA (Yoongi) : Music Producer
One of the only BTS member who constantly questions whether becoming a pop idol has made him compromise on his raison d’etre : producing authentic and honest music content. Suga will probably lock himself in a room and produce the kind of music close to his heart. Part of me is just hoping that he does not let his depression and anxiety affect him and his work too much.
J-hope (Ho-seok) : Choreographer
J-hope will start his own dance studio and continue to choreograph for various idols. He has had the exposure of performing with BTS across geographies, which would prove to be an added advantage. Although all the BTS members are great dancers, J-hope stands out. The toughest parts of the dance sequences are centered around him, so that even if the others falter, our eyes would stay on J-Hope. He enjoys dancing a lot and it wont come as a surprise if it continues to be a part of his life beyond BTS days.
Jungkook : Director of Photography
Jungkook has a keen eye for camera work. Even though our golden maknae, is a jack of all trades I think his natural interest draws him behind the camera. He often says that he would like to be a professional gamer. But I feel that post his retirement he will be drawn towards something more mature and wholesome. He has spent his entire youth infront of the camera, which is why he probably finds it relaxing to be behind the lens at times. V : Stylist with his own clothing line
When you think of quirky fashion, V comes to the top of our minds. His collection of bracelets and earrings is worth dying for. Thus his greatest potential lies in the field of fashion ( after music of course). V had once mentioned that his father used to own a clothing store when he was young. I think the business and operations of his clothing business can be handled by his father while V just looks at the creative aspect. He has the fashion sense to put together the most mind blowing outfits together.
Jimin : TV Show Host
Our mochi boy has the charm to enthrall audiences irrespective of their genders and sexual orientation. I feel that he has the stage presence and the natural charisma to keep viewers hooked. Further adding to that an extrovert personality allows him to bond with anyone instantaneously. Jimin has the potential to become a successful TV host like Jimmy Fallon.
